Within the Biden Cabal, a rift exists between decent-hearted Treasury Department employees and White House officials who favor easing oil sanctions against dangerous foreign producers such as Islamist Iran and Putinist Russia.
Biden “wants to keep gas prices stable before the election by enabling oil to flow into global markets,” according to a Wall Street Journal story on Wednesday. This is acceptable if it involves imposing “softer-than-expected penalties” on large oil producers, such as the two companies previously mentioned.
Yes, and Venezuela as well. What’s the significance of appeasing Nicolás Maduro, a socialist, when you’re already catering to Vladimir Putin and the new leader of Iran following the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash last month?
As it impacts families’ everyday lives, “the president has sought to do everything that he could to ensure that American consumers had the lowest price possible at the pump,” an unidentified senior administration official told the WSJ.
Caracas, Moscow, and Tehran may use each dollar from the sale of oil to support the socialist Maduro regime, prolong the Russo-Ukrainian War, or purchase weapons, ammunition, and missiles for Hamas to use in the slaughter of Jews.
“Biden Wants to Be Seen As Tough On Russia and Iran—But Also Wants Low Gas Prices” is how the Wall Street Journal titled their post, but it doesn’t really sum up the story.
Allow me to transition into the role of editor and suggest a different headline: “Biden Sees Fit to Purchase Votes with Russian and Iranian Oil While Remaining Firm on Russia and Iran.”
Global supply chains are under unprecedented stress following the unnecessary and foolish COVID-19 lockdowns, which is why it was inevitable that additional measures would be implemented, given the Biden Administration’s penchant for creating chaos whenever possible.
This is due to the fact that “global shipping rates are skyrocketing, creating fears of supply shortages and delays as Houthi rebels continue strikes on vessels destined for the Suez Canal.”
The Biden administration, on the one hand, is unwilling to take the Houthi pirates’ direct and missile threats against international shipping in the Red Sea seriously. On the other hand, Biden’s meek oil sanctions enable Iran to maintain the Houthi’s financial and material resources.
The Biden White House has no strategy. It’s possible that the Cabal isn’t consciously trying to ruin things, but I’d need more proof of that. For the most part, however, there’s only the High Holy Day on November 5, and a constantly changing array of ever-more pressing demands to try and push Biden past it.
