A recent upgrade from cybersecurity company CrowdStrike caused significant worldwide disruption for Microsoft, which served as a massive wake-up call for the awakened DEI-focused IT community.

The widespread disruption of Microsoft services, which resulted in the closure of banks, shops, and aircraft worldwide, was not an isolated incident. Microsoft, like many other Silicon Valley firms, has dedicated a rising portion of its time and money over the years to issues unrelated to its core technology products, such as political censorship campaigns and left-wing diversity efforts.

According to the New York Times, a previous outage that affected certain customers of Microsoft’s cloud hosting service Azure was also the cause of Friday’s global cyber catastrophe. CrowdStrike is a cybersecurity firm that many Microsoft systems rely on. This was the decisive event that wreaked havoc across the world.

Shouldn’t Friday’s worldwide computer meltdown have occurred regardless of Microsoft’s nearly ten-year distraction with non-technical hobby horses? Yes. It is also undeniable that Microsoft has been extremely focused on political campaigns lately, especially with Silicon Valley norms.

The IT behemoth was among the first to formally collaborate with NewsGuard, the establishment’s “news-rating” initiative that creates blacklists of unfavorable news sources and then sells them to advertisers in order to sever their income. NewsGuard’s prominent people have disseminated false information regarding important national news stories, even though they purport to be a watchdog against “misinformation.”

After that comes the awakening, one of the most popular office software suites in the world, Microsoft 365 (previously known as Microsoft Office), allows users to add pronouns to their profiles. Senior Microsoft workers have begun their speeches at conferences by discussing their gender and ethnicity. Some have also brought up the fact that Microsoft’s offices are located on land formerly owned by Native Americans in Washington State. Microsoft promised to address “racial inequality” by implementing new recruiting objectives depending on ethnicity in 2020.

Elon Musk has drawn attention to CrowdStrike’s obsession with DEI, which is comparable to Microsoft’s in scope. The New Republic has labeled criticism of the corporate DEI goal as an “idiotic conspiracy theory,” demonstrating the haste with which the left-wing media is trying to undermine it. Despite that, the criticism hasn’t stopped.

Despite the recent layoffs in its bloated Department of Economic Innovation, a Microsoft spokesperson emphasized that the company’s position on diversity remained unchanged.

The Microsoft representative stated, “We are staying true to our standards, emphasizing responsibility, and continuing to focus on this work.” “Our emphasis on diversity and inclusion is unshakeable.”

Many may be questioning if Microsoft should limit its attention and area of emphasis to just one thing—ensuring that its key programs continue to function—in light of the catastrophic outage that occurred last Friday.
