According to reports, former President Trump and his supporters are outspending Vice President Kamala Harris and her group 25 to 1 on radio and television advertisements.
The difference in the ads demonstrates how ready the Trump team was to characterize Harris as a radical socialist. Here are 17 instances of Harris’s extreme leftist background.
From Monday until the end of August, Trump and his supporters are spending $68 million, while Harris is only spending $2.6 million, according to an Associated Press (AP) analysis of data gathered by AdImpact.
Harris’ friends are concerned about the massive advertising campaign. “The general consensus is like cement. Sarah Longwell, a co-founder of GOP Voters Against Trump, told the AP that it was initially mild before becoming harder. “The upcoming three weeks are final. She must define herself before Donald Trump defines her.
David Axelrod, a Democrat insider, expressed alarm over the lack of Harris advertisements, pointing out that the apparatus supporting Harris is still under construction.
“The way the commercials used to operate, Mike Donilon, the president’s person, would deal with one producer, give him ideas, the producer would create things, Mike would select one advertisement, and they would run it,” Axelrod stated on his podcast. “I don’t think Mike is there anymore.” To do this, they also need to immediately establish an operation.
Politico Playbook revealed on Thursday that Donilon, President Joe Biden’s senior strategist, does not yet have a clear role in Harris’s operation.
The Harris campaign is attempting to get advertisements on-air as quickly as possible, according to a spokesperson. The “exasperated” official told Playbook, “We’re scrambling to bring up advertisements as rapidly as we can (albeit it’s just been 3 days), and in the interim, she’s dominating earned media.”
Thursday morning saw the debut of the Harris campaign’s first commercial.
