On Friday, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will unveil her 2024 ideas, which include centrally controlled price restrictions on food and grocery prices, akin to a Soviet-style system.

Following her declaration as the Democratic nominee in July and harsh criticism for being a policy-free zone, Breitbart News noted that Harris’s speech will be her first policy-focused speech ever.

In an attempt to offset the negative opinions that many people have of President Joe Biden’s economic management, the Democratic nominee has pledged, within her first 100 days in office, to enact the nation’s first-ever prohibition on price gouging and price-fixing.

Harris intends to implement policies reminiscent of Soviet command economy regulations by ordering the Federal Trade Commission and other agencies to investigate and punish “large firms” that break the law, according to Time magazine.

Her campaign hinted at a comprehensive suite of economic initiatives, stating that she will also examine further approaches to combat selective anti-competitive activities and price fixing in the food and grocery industries.

According to reports, Harris will discuss her economic talk in Raleigh, North Carolina, and provide details on her ideas to reduce housing and prescription drug expenses.

She may answer questions from the media following the ceremony, but it is unclear at this time. President Joe Biden is also not too interested in discussing his plans.

According to a Time report, the Democratic contender plans to specifically target the heavily concentrated beef sector in her speech, calling its processing middlemen “particularly egregious” price fixers who have a track record of illegally controlling pricing.

While Harris has responded to a few yelled questions from members of the traveling press corps, she has not interviewed or had a news conference in about four weeks.
