The International Brotherhood of Teamsters union did not back Kamala Harris this week, which was a big blow for her campaign. She is the first Democrat in almost 30 years to not get their support.

Stephen Kruiser of PJ Media said that the decision was based on internal polls that showed that most union members strongly supported Donald Trump. Even though Trump had a lot of support, the weak-willed union leaders decided not to back him.

It’s still a huge win for Trump, though. The Teamsters have backed Democrats in six straight elections. They backed George H.W. Bush in 1988, which was the last time they did so. Because this is so important, not even the leftist media could sugarcoat it—most of them saw it as a bad look for Harris and a warning sign for the Democrats.

The Washington Post went even further and called it “a blow to the Democratic Party.” Politico was more direct when they said that the lack of support was “a big blow for Vice President Kamala Harris.” The Post said that they decided not to back her two days after Kamala met secretly with the union leaders to ask them to back her.

When they didn’t back Kamala Harris, it was a huge blow that left media outlets couldn’t ignore in their stories. They didn’t even try.

Some news sites tried to make this look like both Trump and Harris failed to get the union’s support. At Axios, the title said, “Teamsters don’t back either Harris or Trump.” But in the second paragraph of their story, the news source did say that the move “is a blow to Democrats, who have generally enjoyed the Teamsters’ support.”

In the same way, ABC News called the support “a blow for both candidates.” However, they did say that polls of union members showed “an almost two-to-one preference for Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris.”

Newsweek didn’t even try to make that pig look better. Its title said, “Kamala Harris Is First Democrat in Decades to Not Get Teamsters Endorsement.”

Even the left magazine Mother Jones gave up when it said in its cover story, “In a Win for Trump, Teamsters Endorse No One.”
