Kamala’s husband Doug Emhoff and MN. Gov. Tim Walz (D) went through a cafe bar recently and didn’t pay. Walz’s daughter said that “someone will be up” to pay.

A video on X showed the two men leaving the cafe counter after Walz’s daughter says she will “wait” for the tea and tells the person behind the counter that a campaign worker is coming to pay.

Walz’s daughter says, “I will wait for your tea,” as the two leave.

When Walz’s daughter gets the tea, she thanks the worker and tells them that “somebody will be here to pay.”

The employee then tells Walz’s daughter, “It’s okay.” The daughter then points and says, “right, well he’s coming. Thank you very much.”

Some people on social media said they were wrong for leaving without paying and having an employee pay for their food.

Someone wrote on X, “These guys are just like us. They take their food without paying for it and have someone else pay for it.”

In an X post, someone else said, “They are used to having taxpayers pay their bills.”

In a post on X, writer Ian Miles Cheong said, “This is very embarrassing: Walz and Emhoff left a cafe without paying. Tim’s daughter told the staff that someone would be there soon to pay their bill. That’s just something middle-class people do, right?”

AZCentral says the two guys went to the Otro Cafe in Phoenix, Arizona.

A national politics writer for AzCentral named Stephanie Murray wrote on X that Emhoff and Walz had stopped at a cafe on the “first day of early voting.” She also said that Walz “placed an order for a morning bun and an iced tea.”

Murray wrote, “Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff take their kids to Otro Cae in Phoenix for desserts. Today is the first day that people in Arizona can vote early. I heard that the governor asked for an iced tea and a breakfast bun.”
