The Biden administration has proven to be a masterclass in political failure. From domestic policies that have left Americans struggling to foreign blunders that have endangered national security, the Biden presidency is a crash course on how not to govern. Every decision seems to show just how out of touch and inept the current leadership truly is, and the results have been disastrous for everyday Americans.
One of the most glaring failures lies in the mishandling of the economy. Inflation under Biden has surged to a 40-year high, wiping out wage gains and leaving families struggling with skyrocketing prices. The Biden administration has conveniently blamed everyone else — from greedy corporations to Vladimir Putin — yet they ignore the inflationary spending spree that has marked this presidency. Remember the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that was supposed to boost the economy? Instead, it fueled inflation. As Senator Joe Manchin, a Democrat himself, warned, “I’ve been ringing the alarm bell continuously…this will hurt the American people.”
Energy policies have been another colossal misstep. Biden’s pledge to “end fossil fuel” and subsequent restrictions on oil and gas drilling threw a wrench into America’s energy independence. Gas prices soared, costing hardworking Americans at the pump and making basic necessities even more expensive. Biden even went begging to OPEC to increase oil production — a sharp contrast to Trump-era energy independence. Meanwhile, the administration champions electric cars as the solution to everything, ignoring the fact that the infrastructure and cost make them out of reach for millions of Americans. And while energy prices hit Americans in the wallet, Biden’s answer has been subsidies for electric vehicle makers and “green” tech companies. Because, as always, elites get the benefits while the average family foots the bill.
On foreign policy, the Biden administration has managed to make America look weak. The chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan will go down as one of the most humiliating episodes in recent history. Thirteen American service members were killed, and billions of dollars of military equipment were left for the Taliban — the very group America spent two decades fighting. President Biden seemed lost, shrugging and blaming his predecessors, ignoring the advice from military leaders on the ground. This botched withdrawal wasn’t just a political blunder; it was a tragedy for Americans and Afghan allies alike. Former Defense Secretary Robert Gates once commented that Biden has “been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” It seems Gates was right.
The southern border is another catastrophe. Biden reversed Trump-era policies that had finally stemmed the flow of illegal immigration, replacing them with “compassionate” policies that have effectively created open borders. Border Patrol encounters have reached record highs, and the crisis is spilling into American communities. This administration’s response has been to avoid the border and downplay the problem, as if ignoring the crisis will make it disappear. Even some Democrats are breaking ranks, like Texas Representative Henry Cuellar, who described the border crisis as “untenable.”
The list of failures goes on: crime rates skyrocketed, supply chains were disrupted, and trust in American institutions eroded. While Democrats may brush off these issues or blame them on Republicans, the reality is clear: these policies aren’t working. In cities run by Democrats, crime rates are soaring as radical DAs choose “compassion” over law and order, releasing criminals back into communities. And Democrats wonder why voters are looking for new leadership?
The truth is, Biden and the Democrats in power have demonstrated time and again that they are out of their depth. These failures aren’t just political missteps; they represent a dangerous trajectory for America. This country needs strong leadership rooted in accountability, fiscal responsibility, and a commitment to secure borders, safe communities, and national strength. Voters have had a taste of what the left’s vision looks like, and it’s been nothing but higher costs, less security, and a government that is more focused on virtue signaling than results.
