Republicans in the House sounded the alarm this week after visiting the Treasury Department about the situation, prompting Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) to demand Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to promptly reveal all suspicious reports relating to President Joe Biden’s family.
Cruz said that “the US Department of Treasury should make public all Suspicious Activity Reports pertaining to the Biden family. Janet Yellen is complicit in the coverup if she refuses to release the reports,”
After a ground-breaking deal permitting the access of suspicious activity reports (SARs), of which banks and other financial institutions are able to use to flag possible illegal behavior, for the business transactions of the Biden family as well as their associates, House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) alongside other Republicans announced on Monday that they had visited the Treasury Department.
Comer stated in a statement that “the urgency of the probe was confirmed by the fact that members of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability have access to thousands of pages of financial information pertaining to the Biden family, their businesses, and colleagues’ business plans.”
He said, “The Biden family company is focused on Joe Biden’s connections and political career and it has produced an outrageous amount of funds for the Biden family. We’ve found six more Joe Biden family members who might have benefitted from the enterprises that the Biden family is under investigation, increasing the total to nine people who may have been engaged or benefited.”
“Therefore, Secretary Yellen, make public each and every report of suspicious conduct involving the Biden family,” Cruz said. “There is no national security justification for keeping them secret. There is just no justification other than joining a political cover-up.”
